I got to know Terry better after graduation and during the time I was Sheriff. Terry was trying to inform the citizens of what was going on in town and we had several conversations about different problems. He was a very sincere and caring person that wanted the best for everyone. He died from a battle with cancer in an Oklahoma City hospital.
I chose Terry Hembree to representat the memorial service at the reunion.
I cannot say that I knew Terry well as we did not share childhood memories, but my memories of Terry and my reason for selecting him were based on the fact that we both dealt with the PLEASURES of being FULL-GROWN people and the fact that I have no memory of Terry without that grin on his face.
I did not realize, prior to the reunion website, that Terry had passed and I am really sorry to hear that cancer was the cause.
God keep you and hold you in the palm of his hand, my friend.
