Stanton Caviness

Stanton Laroy Caviness 57, of Crosby, Texas went to be with the Lord March 25, 2008 in Conroe, Texas.

Stanton was born on September 4, 1951 in Pampa, Texas to Roy and Delores (Hart) Caviness. Stanton served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Stanton has lived in Crosby area for 13 years and worked as a quality assurance inspector in the construction industry.

In his spare time Stanton enjoyed drawing, playing guitar, taking care of his horses and spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren). Stanton was a very kind person who was always willing to help anyone in need and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Stanton is preceded in death by his parents and son Brent Caviness. He is survived by his loving wife Dona Caviness, daughter Misty Pritchard, daughter Stormy Standerfer and husband Kenneth, son Brandon Caviness and wife Ashley, daughter Rachel Blaha and husband Brad, daughter Krista Morphis, daughter Jamie King and husband Kelly, brother Larry Caviness, brother Tony Caviness, grandchildren; Bethany, Brittney, Raedon, Lynnzy, Caden, Lilly, Abigale, Gabriel, great granddaughter Aaliyah and many other relatives and friends.

Stanton I will never forget your kindness. Your cousin introduced us in grade school and you would go out of your way to buy me a popsicle everyday and walk me home. What a gentleman and at what a young age. You made an impression on me. You were an inspirtation to all to show kindness. You will be missed.

My first boyfriend, Stanton gave me a nickel and my parents made me give it back! Very fond memories...so sorry to hear of his passing.
